The Chiroso variety was first discovered in the Urrao region of Antioquia, Colombia. It was believed to be a mutation of the Caturra variety, which is commonly grown in the area however recent genetic testing shows it originates from Ethiopia.
The name "Chiroso" likely comes from a Colombian biscuit called "Achira" due to the coffee bean's similar elongated shape.
We find this lot has lots of vibrant fruit and huge flavour intensity. Expect dark berries, sweet currants, citrus and dried fruit. Only available online and in extremely limited quantities so don't miss out!
